Assignments

The rights over a registered trademark or over a trademark application can be assigned. The assignment shall be made in writing and registered in the Industrial Property Registry in order for it to come into effect before third parties.

The rights over a trademark can be transferred in relation with one, several or all of the products or services protected by the trademark. If the assignment is limited to one or several products or services, a new registration will be issued in the name of the new owner.
