Sanitary Registrations

In order to export, import, distribute, commercialize or sell any goods in Costa Rica, it is mandatory to obtain a sanitary registration.  The Ministry of Health is the entity in charge of granting sanitary registrations for cosmetic products, food products, hazardous products, natural products and pharmaceutical products.  The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is the entity in charge of granting sanitary registrations for veterinary products.
